CBH - Tryptophan is an important amino acid involved in the formation of the precursors of NAD (nicotinic acid amide - adenine dinucleotide). It is also intimately involved with the formation of the hormone serotonin and tryptamine. Feed intake is influenced by tryptophan supply to the animal.
